A New Comprehensive Option from Level Health

From 31 July 2026, Level Health launched a new health insurance plan to the Irish market, called Plan Pro Extra (Plan #382).

What Does Plan Pro Extra Offer?

Plan Pro Extra provides a strong level of hospital cover across the board. The key features of this new plan include:

• 100% Hospital Cover: Full reimbursement of claims for a private room in a public hospital, a semi-private room in a public hospital, a semi-private room in a private hospital, and a private room in a private hospital.
• High-Tech Hospital Cover: 100% cover for a semi-private room in designated high-tech hospitals.
• Extensive Procedure Coverage: The plan explicitly includes cover for advanced cardiac procedures, ophthalmic procedures, orthopaedic procedures, fertility & pregnancy, and everyday medical expenses.
• Generous Out-patient Limit: An annual out-patient limit of €4,000 applies.

There are specified excesses and shortfalls. There is a €50 excess co-payment for semi-private or private rooms in private hospitals, a €200 night excess for private rooms in high-tech hospitals, and specific shortfalls for orthopaedic (€5,000) and ophthalmic (€500) procedures in private settings.

Plan Price and Start Date

The new Level Health – Plan Pro Extra will have a monthly cost of €134.08. These changes and this new plan option will be effective from 31 July 2026.
